Dr. Charles T. Hughes is a board-certified urologist with UroPartners, providing comprehensive urologic care to patients throughout the Chicago area. A longtime Illinois resident, Dr. Hughes is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized care for adults with a wide range of urologic conditions.

Dr. Hughes earned his Bachelor of Science from Illinois Wesleyan University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine (Peoria Campus). He completed his urology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received broad training in general urology with a strong emphasis on kidney stone disease. After several years in practice along the Gulf Coast, Dr. Hughes returned to Chicago to join UroPartners.

Dr. Hughes has a clinical interest in general urology, including prostate conditions, kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, urologic cancers, BPH treatments, including Aquablation, and minimally invasive surgical techniques (MIST), including iTind. His training placed particular focus on the medical management and prevention of recurrent kidney stones, as well as advanced surgical techniques for treating active stone disease.

Known for his thoughtful and individualized approach, Dr. Hughes takes time to clearly explain diagnoses, review treatment options, and discuss the reasoning behind each recommendation. He believes informed patients are better equipped to make decisions and works closely with each individual to develop a treatment plan tailored to their needs and goals.
